In this post, I will guide you on How To Hide Categories In Magento 2<\/strong>. Hidden categories will not appear on your Magento 2 store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admins can create hidden categories to cater to upcoming products or don’t want that product category to appear on the navigation menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magento 2 also allows creating subcategories within hidden categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps To Hide Categories In Magento 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Log in to Admin Panel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. On the Admin Panel<\/strong> sidebar, go to CATALOG > Categories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Select category on categories tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Select<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

4. Switch Enable Category<\/strong> to “No” to deactivate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Switch Include in Menu<\/strong> to “No” to hide the category from the navigation menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Expand Display Settings\u00a0<\/strong>section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Expand<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

7. Switch Anchor<\/strong> to “No”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. When complete, click\u00a0Save<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can still add subcategories to hidden categories and activate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Select sub-category of a hidden category on categories tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Switch Enable Category<\/strong>, Include in Menu<\/strong> to “Yes”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
