Generally, this is a temporary state. It is one of the common\nerrors while setting the Magento store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So, why\ndoes it occur?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the installation of Magento, it creates a file\n<code>maintenance.flag<\/code>. If the file still exists, the system will display an error\n503 &#8211; Service Temporarily Unavailable. It will automatically delete that file\nafter processing. But sometimes, it wasn&#8217;t deleted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Disable\nthe maintenance mode:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to Magento root folder and delete <code>var\/.maintenance.flag<\/code>.<\/li><li>Fresh Magento 2 cache:<code> php bin\/magento cache:flush<\/code> or via the Admin Panel.<\/li><li>If you see a message saying: &#8220;Exception printing is disabled by default for security reasons.&#8221; on the error log.<\/li><li>And if have an error \u201cPlease Upgrade your database\u201d, run<code> php bin\/magento setup:upgrade<\/code>from the root directory.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*\/ Note: Magento 1 maintenance mode file is different from Magento 2 maintenance mode file.
