When you want to rebrand your business or change your business strategy to sell new products. You are no longer using your current brand and don’t want to have to deploy another Magento store because your existing store is up and running and has the right extensions installed. You can use one of the useful features that Magento offers is change base URL.

When doing this you must make sure that your new domain name is properly configured with your Magento installation server.

Steps To Change Domain Name In Magento 2

1. Log in to Admin Panel.

2. On the Admin Panel sidebar, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration.

3. In the left panel, choose GENERAL > Web.

4. Expand the Base URLs section.

5. In the Base URL field, replace your URL with the new URL.

6. Expand the Base URLs (Secure) section.

7. In the same way above, replace your URL with the new URL in the Secure Base URL field.

Note: The changed domain names in the Base URLs (Secure) and the Base URL must be the same.

8. Click Save Config when complete.
