How to Export Products from Magento 2 Multi-Vendor Marketplace by Seller

Marketplaces are becoming ubiquitous and with the increasing no of vendors, products, the need of the hour is a multi-vendor marketplace for store owners and merchants. Allowing vendors and sellers full control of their products and making it easy for them to export or import products and images in bulk is the best way to optimize and automatize the online marketplace. Any marketplace revolves around three focal points- the Admin, the seller, and the buyer. The Admin owns the store and has access to everything – products, orders, payments, sellers, shipping and more. They also have back-end access to sellers and their products. The Seller uploads his products, sets prices and is paid once buyers purchase the products.

Magento 2 is a great add-on that helps eliminate the pain points of uploading and adding products one at a time, making it easy for sellers to sell on the marketplace. Of course, the add-on has to be installed in the first place in order to enable sellers and vendors to transfer products between the stores and the marketplaces. They can thus streamline their online business, market products like regular professionals, allowing sellers and vendors to register and sell their products, manage products on the go and view their orders.

Once the add-on is installed, sellers can create an account, log in and then navigate to the vendor/seller dashboard. They need to click on the Export Product link when they want to export products. Use the CSV or XML format in your marketplace. The Magento 2 marketplace export products by sellers allow sellers to upload multiple products and images and works with almost all product types. They can add any number of products and mention all the details, describe the product, state category, price, stock and also add images.

How to Export seller products to CSV file in Vendor dashboard

Under the heading Export CSV, click on the export button – a new page with fields and columns will appear. You have the option to choose specific product types or export all the columns and products types as they appear. In case you choose to do so, you can also select to export all custom Meta. A CSV file is generated and this contains a list of all the products that you want to offer for export. The admin is positioned to help in mass product upload for sellers. This is generally compatible with almost any multi-store and supports many language translations too.

Result

If all that is done correctly, then you can view product upload and check for possible errors. In case sellers want to add a product in any category or subcategory, they can edit their file and change the status of the order. Sales reports by year, month, week or day can also be obtained by using charts, location, sales statistics and filters in the seller dashboard. Each seller has a page that contains all their business information, products, and reviews and how they are rated. Customers can compare the product rates of different sellers. Sellers are notified when orders are placed with their products.
