Magento 2 provides a Watermark feature for store owners to protect the copyrights of store products and prevent unauthorized use of such images.
What Is Watermark?
A watermark is a message (usually a logo, stamp, or signature) superimposed onto an image, with a great deal of transparency.
Using watermarks will prevent anyone from making use of your images. If you implement them, it will help you protect your work.
Steps To Add Watermark To Product Image In Magento 2
Step 1: Log in to Admin Panel.
Step 2: On the Admin Panel sidebar, go to CONTENT > Design > Configuration.
Step 3: Find the store view that you want to configure and, in the Action column, click Edit.
Step 4: Scroll down and expand the Product Image Watermarks section.
Step 5: Complete the Base image settings as follows:
- Click Upload and choose the image file that you want to use. Or click Select from Gallery and choose the image in your gallery of the store.
- Enter the Image Opacity as a percentage.
- Enter the Image Size in pixels.
- Set Image Position to determine where the watermark appears.
Step 6: Similarly, configure the Thumbnail, Small, Swatch Image settings
Step 7: When complete, click Save Config button.
If you want to restore the default value, click Use Default Value. Click the Delete icon in the lower-left corner of the image to delete the product image watermark.
