How To Configure Wishlist In Magento 2

Certainly, when deciding to buy any product you will consider it many times. Or when you see something you want to buy but it’s not the right time to buy them, you can put them on the wishlist. A wishlist is a great function you should have in your store. It will bring the customer experience, helping you to improve sales from the products on the wishlist.

Magento 2 allows you to set up a wishlist in the admin panel. I will guide you to set them up with the steps below:

Steps To Configure Wishlist In Magento 2

Step 1: Log in to Admin Panel.

Step 2: On the Admin Panel sidebar, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration.

Step 3: In the left panel, choose CUSTOMERS > Wish List.

Choose CUSTOMERS Wish List

Step 4: Expand the General Options section. Then, do the following:

Expand the General Options section
  • Set the Enabled field to Yes to activate the wish list module for the store.
  • Set the Show in Sidebar field to Yes to displays the wish list in the sidebar.

Step 5: Expand the Share Options section. Then, do the following:

Expand the Share Options section
  • Set the Email Sender to the store contact that should appear as the sender of the message.
    • General Contact.
    • Sales Representative.
    • Customer Support.
    • Custom Email.
  • Set the Email Template to be used when a customer shares a wish list.
  • Enter a Max Emails Allowed to be Sent value to limit the number of emails a customer can send in a batch. The default is 10, and the maximum allowed is 10,000.
  • Enter a Email Text Length Limit value to limit the size of the message. The default is 255.

Step 6: Expand the My Wish List Link section. Then, do the following:

  • Set Display Wish List Summary:
    • Display number of items in wish list.
    • Display item quantities.

Step 7: Click Save Config button.
